GES Toolkit
The Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Toolkit supports education stakeholders to conduct a rapid assessment of gender equality in and through education. It provides a quick snapshot of where the country stands with regard to gender equality within and beyond its education system. The tools allow planners and practitioners to produce an overview of relevant gender data and to catalyze a dialogue among education stakeholders at country level. The toolkit is composed of an interactive Rapid Assessment tool, a Guidance, a Country Dialogue tool, and a Narrative Report template.
GES Tool
The Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Tool supports education stakeholders to conduct a rapid assessment of gender equality in and through education. It provides a quick snapshot of where the country stands with regard to gender equality within and beyond its education system. Its interactive, excel-based format allows to rapidly generate a visual overview of the status of gender equality in education.

GES Guidance
The GES Guidance provides directions on how to use the Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Tool. The GES tool supports education stakeholders to conduct a rapid assessment of gender equality in and through education. The guidance contains information on the set-up of the tool, the methodology, how to use the tool, as well as roles and responsibilities of the different education stakeholders.
GES Dialogue Tool
The Gender Equality in Education Snapshot Dialogue Tool complements the Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Tool. It allows to facilitate a dialogue among education stakeholders at country level to discuss the status of gender equality in and through education in the country, assessed through the GES Tool. The Country Dialogue allows to validate assessment findings, identify data gaps and give directions for further gender analysis. The Dialogue Tool can be used in a Local Education Group meeting setting, or a similar participatory exercise. It contains a detailed meeting plan, as well as participatory exercises and additional resources.
GES Narrative Report Template
The Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Narrative Report Template complements the Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Tool and the Gender Equality in Education Snapshot (GES) Dialogue Tool. It provides a format to structure the outcomes of the rapid assessment on gender equality in and through education and of the dialogue among education stakeholders.
