Promises to Keep: Impact of COVID-19 on Adolescents in Kenya

This study documents the experiences of adolescents in Kenya during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was collected on the social, education, health, and economic effects of COVID-19 on adolescents at two time points. The first was undertaken in early June 2020 when schools were closed and there were restrictions on movement. The second time point was in February 2021 after schools had reopened and movement restrictions had been eased. The data collection at the two time points enabled understanding of the short- and medium-term impacts of COVID-19 on adolescents and highlighted the unique experiences and needs of adolescents.
