Are schools safe and gender equal places?

Findings from a baseline study of school related gender-based violence in five countries in Asia

The Are Schools Safe and Gender Equal Spaces? report presents the results of a study on school related gender based violence (SRGBV) undertaken by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in partnership with Plan International. The study gathers empirical evidence on the magnitude and nature of SRGBV and help-seeking behavior of girls and boys aged 12-17 years in five countries – Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam. In addition, it also explores the perceptions and attitudes of key adults, teachers and parents, towards SRGBV.
