This publication focuses on two thematic areas within the research framework ‘Preventing Gender-Based Violence through Socialization’ of the National Centre for Innovation and Investigation in Education . The two thematic areas are: ideal love and new alternative masculinities. The document includes main findings on the roots of gender-based violence with a focus on identifying the linkages between ideal love and gender-based violence and masculinity models and social desirability. The document offers guidance for the prevention of gender-based violence and socialization among students.
