Education sector responses to violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression

Out in the Open, prepared by UNESCO, summarizes the main findings of a global review that provided the first ever overview of the most up-to-date data on the nature, scope and impact of homophobic and transphobic violence in educational settings worldwide. It also offers an overview of current actions to address such violence. This publication provides education sector stakeholders with a framework for planning and implementing effective responses to homophobic and transphobic as part of wider efforts to prevent and address violence in schools.
