A series of intergenerational dialogues
Widespread school closures as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have disrupted the education of a generation of children and youth. In this series of intergenerational dialogues young women activists each bring a different regional perspective, lived experience and a wealth of knowledge on the gendered impacts of girls being out of school. In a time of so many unknowns, they call on leaders to ensure that the most marginalized girls are not left behind.

On International Literacy Day, we celebrate the launch of a new policy brief series - In Solidarity With Girls: Gender and Education in Crisis - produced by the young women activists who led a series of intergenerational dialogues earlier this year. This publication represents a coordinated partnership approach to the meaningful inclusion of youth-led networks in the COVID-19 education response. From education crisis to recovery - together we can build back #InSolidarityWithGirls
