Cartooning for Girls in STEM in Bangladesh

By 2020, 80% of jobs will be STEM-related, but currently women comprise just 14% of the global STEM workforce. We know that a significant past of tackling gender inequalities starts in the classroom as education provides a critical path for female students to fulfil their potential in STEM. While questions remain as to how to get there, inroads are being made. In this podcast cartoonist, academic and associate editor of ‘Unmad’, Nasreen Sultana Mitu shares her experience as a science cartoonist in Bangladesh - using comics as a vehicle to better engage girls in STEM education.
