Guinea's sustained primary school enrollment increases over an entire decade make it an international success story, especially in girls' education. The Princeton Team explores what specifically has contributed to this success and to what extent the community has accepted the goal of increasing girls' participation in education. The paper highlights the issues currently facing girls' education in Guinea in the areas of infrastructure and funding, relevance and quality of education, retention, completion and performance of girls in school, and community ownership and partnership and provides recommendations.
