Empowering Girls: Education and Technology CSW side event

H.E. Stefan Wallin, the Minister of Culture and Sport of Finland, will start the discussion with opening remarks. The panel will include Linda Raftree, Plan's Social Media and New Technology Advisor; Mary de Wysocki, Director Internet Business Solutions, Education and Economic Development, Cisco Systems, Inc.; Susan Durston, Associate Director, Education, UNICEF; and Fabiola, a 17 year-old member of the Youth Empowerment through Technology, Art and Media project in Cameroon. The panellists will discuss this issue from their perspectives and respond to questions posed by the moderator.
The will take place on the 23 February 2011, 12:00-2:00 pm at the Danny Kaye visitor center, UNICEF House. A light lunch will be served on a first come first served basis and guests are advised to come on time as space is limited.
