Save the Children
To achieve sustainable improvements in gender equality in education, Save the Children uses a combination of working methods:
Research and analysis: Knowing the facts and context is a pre-condition for being able to support and advocate for changes in practice and policy. Save the Children bases its work on a child rights situation analysis.
Direct support: Developing innovative practice for marginalized girls and boys to equally access and attain a quality education increases awareness and knowledge about gender inequality and our ability to advocate for change.
Knowledge dissemination and capacity-building: Save the Children builds the capacity partners including children on gender equality, education and their ability to affect change and strengthen schools and the education system.
Advocacy / awareness raising: Working with partners, Save the Children works to influence changes in practices and policies through advocacy and awareness raising. Advocacy is based on knowledge and experience gained through research and direct support.
