The purpose of this handbook is to mobilise teachers and school staff to take steps to foster and promote safe and caring school communities that are free from violence. It is intended to enable school staff change agents to facilitate a variety of activities that deepen community members’ understanding about the nature and extent of violence against children in schools and support them in working together to establish schools and communities where inclusiveness, a sense of belonging, and positive child support are the norm.
