In her Education Think Piece, Dr Sharon Tao outlines an approach to tackling the learning crisis in girls’ education in Eastern and Southern Africa by keeping all system actors, organisations and projects focused and aligned. Her hypothesis is that if interventions are implemented simultaneously and in the same context, more gender responsive systems, schools, homes and communities will begin to develop. When that happens, girls’ educational access, and completion will improve significantly.
