In 2010, the SeCONS Development Initiative Group carried out a prevalence survey on domestic violence.1 The findings indicated that more than half of women in Central Serbia have, at some point in their lives, experienced family violence (54.2%), with 37.5% having experienced violence in the previous twelve months. Most of the perpetrators were male partners or husbands, with 96% of perpetrators responsible for severe forms of GBV.
