This study provides suggestions for how teachers can help construct more open views and actions about gender through storytelling.  Data collection and sensitive analysis show the multi-vocal experiences and perspectives of boys and girls in their story dictation and dramatization. The study shows how the children’s stories reveal the influence of cultural stereotypes yet harbor the potential to move beyond rigid gender boundaries as well.
