Djibouti faces one of the world’s worst crises in education. Fewer girls are enrolled in school here than anywhere else in the Middle East and North Africa; overall, less than 40 per cent of both girls and boys have access to an education. The average annual rate of increase required to meet the Goal is over 4 per cent for all children, and over 5 per cent for girls.
