From 15 to 16 April, UNGEI, UNESCO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France convened an international partners meeting on the issue of school-related gender-based violence in Paris, France. The meeting aimed to take stock of current responses and outline strategic directions for future actions and collaboration involving all interested parties. Over 25 organizations working on school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) and violence against women and girls were represented at the meeting, including bilateral actors, civil society organisations, UN partners, and research institutions.

A key outcome of the meeting was the development of a “Roadmap” with identified actions for partners to take forward. A working group on SRGBV is also in the process of being formed, led by UNGEI and UNESCO.

Below are presentations by partners:
ActionAid and The University of London
Department for International Development (DFID)
